Don works closely with clients to provide insight into organizational improvement and optimization of existing IT and functional activities.

He regularly leads projects for Cartesian involving industry requirement compliance, IT infrastructure assessment, and operating environments. Don is an expert in applying Cartesian’s proprietary methodology, QSA®, which assesses and benchmarks information technology systems against Industry Best Practices. This objective, third party audit enables our clients to demonstrate that they are meeting SLAs, contractual, and legal/regulatory obligations. With over 25 years of senior management and leadership experience with several Tier One communications providers, Don is well versed in Best Practice standards and guidelines that include CobiT, PMI-PMBOK, SEI-CMMI for Software Development, ITIL, and TQM.

Before joining Cartesian, Don was the Director of Sprint’s Virginia Billing Services. In this capacity, he was responsible for the integrity of Sprint’s Data Services and Federal Government FTS billing, including customer service acceptance, transaction processing, invoice verification, user requirements definition and user acceptance testing. Prior to his 15 year career at Sprint, Don worked at MCI managing several key revenue activities including A/R operations and systems management, traffic processing, billing management, and merger and acquisition operations integration.

At Cartesian, Don has built upon his previous successes by leading several major contractual compliance performance and systems audits as well as numerous external benchmark assessments of clients’ Billing, Project Management, SDLC, and IT Refreshment processes.

Don’s efforts have garnered several high profile awards including MCI’s Excellence in Service, Sprint’s President’s Club Award, the Sprint Chairman’s Quality Award and the Missouri Quality Award for performance excellence. Don graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a BS in Business Administration and is a member of the Virginia Chapter of ISACA for IT Governance.
