Usage Assurance

Usage Assurance ensures that all usage charges are billed completely, accurately and on time by closely monitoring end-to-end usage processing.

Revenue Assurance needs to track all files and events created from many different service platforms to all downstream systems – not just customer billing, but also interconnect billing, the fraud engine, data warehouse and archive.  Trend analysis is very useful for monitoring exceptions and variances that may arise.

The Ascertain software suite supports both file level and event level reconciliations:

• Ascertain Usage Monitor (UM) fully supports usage assurance requirements by modelling and monitoring the end-to-end flow of all usage records.
• Ascertain Matcher is used to match individual EDRs at any point in the end-to-end chain. This assures completeness at the event level.
