The Revenue Assurance Group held its first 2009 meeting at Cartesian’s London offices on 21 January. Members of the UK operators revenue assurance community met to discuss and debate the impact of the recession on telcos and revenue assurance.
Virgin Media chaired the day’s sessions, with morning speakers including a principal analyst from Informa, the Chief Executive Officer of a European triple play cable operator, and the president of EMEA for a fraud and revenue assurance tools vendor who each gave their views and perspectives on the impact of the current global economic climate on the revenue assurance profession, and the telecommunication industry in general. In the afternoon, a further five sessions were held, with speakers from across the operator community.
The Revenue Assurance Group (RAG) was set up in March 2004 to provide a forum within which UK Revenue Assurance Managers can:
The RAG meets three times a year to hear presentations from other Members. Everyone values the opportunity for informal discussion over lunch, between sessions or after the meeting.
